All right, so let's jump in. Why are electric bikes so popular? Interesting question and I would say if you've ridden an electric bike, you will understand why they are so popular, but I can speak to it a little bit. The reason they're becoming so popular, especially in the last year is because as people have become or started working closer to home, the need to get in your car has decreased quite a bit so more people now are living closer to where they work. And this was sort of a trend that was happening as technology was allowing us to be in touch with people without being in the office. But now more than ever, COVID, people have moved to the suburbs and outside of the city. As a result of that, people are not like I said, are not getting in their cars so e-bikes are the most practical form of transportation for distances under five miles. I would say under 10 miles, but definitely under five miles.

If you just want to go to the local grocery store or the local park or take your kids somewhere, it makes sense. Just hop on your electric bike and you can cruise there. Now the benefit too between an electric bike and a regular bike is an electric bike now is a viable form of transportation. So is a bicycle but what I mean by that is you've got power and you can do manual. The electric bike becomes this form of transportation, where it can literally take you somewhere. You don't have to power yourself. If you choose to you can, but you can use the motor and it can get you places. It's way more convenient, you can get places faster, especially if there are bike paths available, if there are trails available, you don't have to go on the road, you can take the electric bike on the path. It, really, really makes sense from a transportation standpoint.

I would say, in addition to that, why are they so popular? It's a great form of clean transportation. No emissions and it's motorized. There have been bikes in the past that have been gas-powered and they didn't become quite as popular as electric bikes because it just makes sense. Just like electric cars, which are growing in popularity every year, especially out here in California, e-bikes are a clean form of transportation with power. You can use a throttle on the electric bike and to the local store, not do any peddling and not omit any emissions into the air. That's a huge, huge plus. And when you're talking about also all the thousands of cars on the road, it makes sense if you want to just get on a bike, much simpler. You don't have to deal with all the traffic of cars. Again, if you can find paths, you'll get there so much quicker.

The other reason I would say that e-bikes are just so popular is that they're so fun. It's honestly, riding a bike, in general, is such an American pastime. It's so fun. Whenever someone comes here and test rides a bike and they haven't ridden in 20 years, they get on the bike and they just have a huge smile on their face. An e-bike is two times that amount of fun. The reason being is because you can use that motor to just give you that extra thrust that you couldn't get under your own power, that little bit of extra speed that just makes it that much more exhilarating. And when you feel that, it just makes you addicted to that breeze in your face, to the sunshine and the freedom to go wherever you want without having to be in a car. It's an amazing thing. If you haven't test-ridden one or ridden one, definitely get one. I highly recommended it.
