Tires
Where would you be without a solid set of bike tires? You would be sitting in your garage, that’s where. And that’s not what we want for you. You deserve to be sailing across state park trails, navigating through urban bike lanes, and exploring your neighborhood.
At sixthreezero, we make it easy to upgrade your tires when you buy your bicycle. After you choose your bike frame color, you’re just a few clicks from tougher treads. But we also know sometimes you need to replace your tires after years of good use. That’s why you can buy separate tires whenever you need them.
Sixthreezero tires are durable, sleek, and available in a standard size. If you’ve suffered a flat or just notice your tread is paper-thin, we have your back.
Sixthreezero Tire Features
You won’t believe how good it feels to be riding on new bicycle tires when you’ve been skating by (sometimes literally) on bald tires. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at what our tires are made of:
- 55 psi. Your tires arrive with 55 psi air pressure, so they’re ready to handle long rides on hard pavement. The recommended range for most everyday tires is 30-70 psi, so you can also inflate them a bit more if you need to accommodate extra body weight or just prefer a higher psi.
- 1 3/8 thickness. Our tires are made for sidewalks and pavement, so they’re thick enough to handle daily use on rough surfaces. The diameter is about 590mm, making them great lightweight options for your office commute or weekend rides.
- Wire beading. The bead is the area where your tire meets the rim, and our tires have a wire tire bead. These beads are more affordable and durable than other types of beading.
Protecting Your New Tires
Now that you have a new set of tires to take on the world, you need to learn to maintain them. Consider getting a self-healing tube, which can take on glass, nails, and rocks and come out on top. A quality tube protects your tires from chronic flats and long-term damage.
You should also keep your tires properly inflated at all times. After a week of office commutes, check your tires’ psi and add some extra air as needed. Just don’t over inflate them – too much of a good thing can lead to popped tires.
Follow our other tips for maintaining your bike to make sure you’re giving your bike the best chance for a long lifespan. Your bike is an extension of yourself, so give it some love!
Having the right tires is an essential part of bike care. At sixthreezero, we have you covered. Not only do we sell high-quality treads, but we can help you take care of them. What are you waiting for? Shop our tires for sale today!
