Pre-Order Information & FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about placing a 'Pre-Order' for a sixthreezero bicycle.

Since the response to the Global Pandemic in mid-March, bicycle demand has increased significantly as it is an outdoor activity and one of the few things that people across the country could enjoy during this time in human history.
We have sold out of many of our models, and we are currently offering an option to "Pre-Order" incoming inventory from our factories. This is a program we have employed so that riders who truly are looking for a new bicycle to ride during these historic times.

HOW PRE-ORDERING A BICYCLE WORKS

In the most basic sense, it is a reservation on future inventory yet to be ready for sale to riders. On the product page of the bike you wish to order, you will either see a button to "Notify Me When In Stock" or to "Pre-Order" the bicycle. If the "Add To Cart" or "Buy It Now" buttons are active, your bike is in immediate stock and will usually ship within 3-5 business days.

If the "Notify Me When In Stock" button is present, this means that we do not have reliable delivery dates available, so we don't make the promise that we will ship on a specific date, when in fact we do not have verification that it will. The best thing to do is to sign up for the email notification when it is shown on the product page of the bicycle you would like to order.
Please note, when you receive a stock notification, it may very well be a notice that "Pre-Order" is now available for the specific bicycle you are interested in.

These are examples of how the pre-order and the notifications buttons will appear on the product page:

We do not make products available for pre-order unless we have a verified delivery date. What happens when a Pre-Order has been placed?

After your order has been placed, your order will be put in line with the pending orders for the bike you have chose. We will be emailing you weekly with updates to your expected shipping date and if it changes. You are always welcome to contact us at theteam@sixthreezero.com for a status update on your order. Orders are processed in chronological order, meaning that the oldest outstanding orders will ship first.

Why do you collect full payment for a product that you do not have in immediate stock?

We require Pre-Orders to be paid in full and collect payment through the checkout, as we normally would with a product that is in stock. With the increased demand, we need to capture the people who are certain and willing to commit to purchasing the bike several weeks before it ships to them. Think of this like buying a ticket to a concert or a sporting event. The service/event has not taken place, but you have reserved a spot at the event to be a part of the audience.

Are the expected shipping dates accurate, and are they subject to change?

Our expected shipping dates are always subject to change, and we communicate with our customers whenever we receive notifications of delays and determine when the next available shipping date will be.

Our shipping dates are all estimated with all the available information from our production facilities and from the shipping companies.

As we have been employing this option on sixthreezero.com, we have experienced some delays in shipping due to logistical limitations caused by COVID19 distancing restrictions, supply chain limitations, and shipping capacities for our domestic carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc…)
