What's the Electric Bike Assembly Process E-Bike Questions
Hey guys, Dustin here, CEO of sixthreezero. Today I'm going to answer the question or also talk about the topic, assembling an electric bike or how to assemble an electric bike. So stick around.

All right guys, so today we're going to talk about assembling an electric bicycle and also how to assemble an electric bike. Before we jump in, hit that subscribe button below and stay in the know about everything we're doing here at sixthreezero, including the weekly, monthly giveaways and all the content we're putting out. So hit subscribe so you can be in touch with us.

All right, so let's answer the question, or let's talk about assembling an electric bicycle and how to assemble an electric bike. Now, as you can see here, I don't have an electric bike to assemble. We do have some other videos that actually walk you through the step-by-step on assembling an electric bike. What I want to talk about right now is the idea of assembling an electric bike and what goes into it and then also the differences between that and a normal bike.

Now, I think in particular at sixthreezero with a lot of our company customers, there's this thought or idea that assembling an electric bike is going to be more difficult than a standard bike. And the reality of that is that it's not. Assembling an electric bike, now caveat, this is not true in all circumstances, I am talking about sixthreezero, but I'm also talking about competitors e-bikes as well because we've seen them. We've seen competitors, e-bikes be assembled there are videos on theirs.

And so we can compare that to normal bikes and so what I'm going to say is most, most of the time assembling a standard bike versus an electric bike is almost the same. And the reason that is, is because most of the components that are relevant to being an electric bike, meaning the motor and the battery, those are already pre-installed. So any bike that you would buy, any electric bike, you would buy online or have shipped to you, all the components as related to the motor or the battery are pre-installed.

So you, as the user, won't have to worry about assembling those features. So it's really as simple as putting on the front wheel, putting on pedals, putting on a seat, handlebars, and off you go. Now, this also varies from bike model to bike model, but what I've found with most electric bikes is just like how we ship standard bikes, electric bikes come about 85% assembled.

Now what that means 85% assembled in the at-home user like I said, will only have to install the front wheel, pedals, seat, handlebars, the rear wheel, the crank, fork, and in this case, motors, derailleurs. Those things already come pre-installed on a bicycle, so you don't have to bolt the derailleur on or install the brakes. Even the brakes come already on the bike. Now it's possible brakes and gears have to be tuned. Most of the brakes and gears come pre-tuned from the factory, but if you're buying it and it's shipped to you, things can get jostled in shipping, which may unadjust the pre tuning from factories.

Again, that's going to be on a case-by-case basis. Those are simple modifications, things like that, but you're not going to have to actually install the brakes completely or install the derailleur completely. And so when we talk about electric bikes, basically the bike is going to come out of the box, just like a standard bike. The only difference, depending on if you have a mid-drive mount motor or a front-wheel motor, or a rear motor, there's going to be a motor, somewhere on the bike. Again, won't play anything into the assembly and there's going to be a battery somewhere on the bike. In some cases, the battery may come off the bike. In our case, we pre-install the battery on the bike. Other companies may put the battery in a separate box in the bike and you slip the battery in, but battery installation on an e-bike is usually as simple as slide it and click it in.

You may have to turn the key to lock it, but it's not going to require any kind of again, putting something together or installing something. So it really is something someone could do that doesn't have tons of bike mechanic experience or any bike mechanic experience for that point. It's tightening some bolts adjusting some of the fine-tuning if necessary. You'll want to follow our videos or another company's videos to fully understand that. But I say this because I don't want people to be overwhelmed with the idea of buying an electric bike online and dealing with the assembly of it. It really is no different than a standard bike.

And just to give you guys an idea, thousands upon thousands upon thousands of bikes are sold online every day and actually thousands upon thousands and thousands of electric bikes are sold online every day. So again, our job as the e-bike companies and other se-bike companies is to get the product to the point where the at-home user can easily do it themselves.

So with that said, I hope that helps with the concept of assembling an se-bike.
